Founded in 2002, Yellowstone Surgery Center is jointly owned and operated by 45 independent physicians and Intermountain Health. The center provides outpatient surgical procedures and pain management services in a warm, patient-centered environment.
In 2005, Yellowstone Surgery Center introduced its highly successful 23-Hour Overnight Stay Program. Two years later, an additional 6,000 square feet was added to the downtown location, expanding the facility to a total of 23,000 square feet.
In 2008, Yellowstone Surgery Center partnered with Ortho Montana and Intermountain Health to become the third partner in AMP (Athletic Medicine & Performance). This collaboration delivers comprehensive sports medicine services to communities throughout Southeast Montana. The AMP team includes sports medicine physicians, athletic trainers, and rehabilitation specialists.
In January 2017, Yellowstone Surgery Center expanded its services with the opening of a second location at the Montana Hip and Knee Center, located off the Zoo Drive exit on I-90. Yellowstone Surgery Center West is a collaborative effort between Yellowstone Surgery Center, Ortho Montana, and Intermountain Health. This 9,000-square-foot facility specializes exclusively in total joint replacements.
Today, Yellowstone Surgery Center utilizes state-of-the-art technology and a highly skilled, multi-specialty surgical team. The center also provides specialized pediatric ENT and select orthopedic procedures through its YSC Kids program.
As a patient of Yellowstone Surgery Center, rest assured you will be treated with dignity and compassion. The facility is designed to keep patients safe and comfortable. If individual circumstances require it, Yellowstone Surgery Center is able to transfer patients to inpatient care at Intermountain Health Hospital.
