Dr. Murdock was raised in south east Idaho on a small family dairy farm. He attended and received his undergraduate degree in accounting from Brigham Young University-Idaho. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA.
He then attended and completed a three-year surgical residency program with Kaiser in the Napa Valley area in California. As chief residenthe instructed junior residents in foot and ankle surgeries. Dr. Murdock has trained in a broad range of foot and ankle conditions. While in residency he completed extensive surgical training in forefoot/rearfoot surgery, diabetic limb salvage, total ankle replacement, and trauma.
Following residency Dr. Murdock worked at a podiatry group in Fort Collins, CO and received special training in nerve decompression surgery for the lower extremity. He is a member The Association of Extremity Nerve Surgeons (AENS). He enjoys the challenges these cases bring and is thrilled to be bringing this surgical technique to Montana and the surrounding area.
He and his wife have six boys including two sets of twins. With his family he enjoys outdoor activities, sports, skiing, and traveling. He also enjoys running, biking and swimming; and just recently completed his first Half Ironman in Boulder, CO. Dr. Murdock is committed to providing excellence in podiatric medical and surgical care to our patients. He is available for appointments and for emergent care.
18 years and older
Currently Yellowstone Surgery Center is not allowing visitors to stay in the building. Our staff will call when it is time for visitors to pick up their loved one. Once discharged, visitors of the patient will not need to re-enter the building. Discharge instructions will be provided over the phone, and patients will be wheel chaired out to the vehicle for pick up.
Younger than 18
A parent or legal guardian must stay in the building at all times. Yellowstone Surgery Center prefers one, however, we will allow for two.
If you have a mask, please wear it during your time at Yellowstone Surgery Center. If you do not have a mask, Yellowstone Surgery Center will provide one.
A COVID-19 test will be required prior to elective surgery. This will be arranged through Surgeon’s offices four days in advance of the date of surgery.
