Dr. Kane was raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was raised in a very sports focused family and was active in school sports. He completed his undergraduate degree at Idaho State University, after which he attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There, he was president of the Sports Medicine Club which provided him the opportunity to attend events such as the Breast Cancer Walk, MS Walk of Philadelphia, and the Marine Corp Marathon. Dr. Kane was able to provide medical care for participants in those activities.
After completing his doctorate in 2011, he attended and completed a 3 year surgical residency at the Carl T. Hayden Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. While in residency he completed extensive surgical training in forefoot/rearfoot surgery, diabetic limb salvage, total ankle replacement, and trauma. We are proud of the work he has done for our veterans during his residency
Jason is married with three children. With his family he enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, hiking and biking. He also enjoys sports--especially basketball and football. Although born in landlocked Idaho, his father is Hawaiian, a heritage he is proud of. He enjoys listening to Hawaiian music and is trying to master the ukulele.
Dr. Kane and his family love the Sheridan area and are happy to be living and working in the shadow of the Big Horns.
