Founded in 2002, Yellowstone Surgery Center is owned and operated jointly by 50 independent physicians and SCL Health. It offers patients the opportunity to undergo outpatient surgical procedures and pain services in a warm and friendly environment. In 2005 they added the 23-Hour Overnight Stay Program with great success. Two years later, we added 6,000 square feet to our downtown location, expanding the facility to 23,000 square feet.
In 2008, Yellowstone Surgery Center joined Ortho Montana and SCL Health to become the third partner of AMP, Athletic Medicine & Performance. This collaboration provides sports medicine services in the communities of Southeast Montana since 1991. The AMP staff includes Sports Physicians, Athletic Trainers and Rehabilitation Specialists.
In January of 2017, Yellowstone Surgery Center opened its doors to their second location at the Montana Ambulatory Care Campus (MACC), located off Zoo Drive Exit on I-90. Yellowstone Surgery Center West is a collaborative effort between Yellowstone Surgery Center, Ortho Montana and SCL Health. Their West location at 9,000 square feet specializes in total joint replacements, spine fusions and pain services.
Yellowstone Surgery Center is fortunate to utilize state-of-the-art equipment and have a multi-speciality surgical staff. This includes providing surgeries for pediatrics in need of ENT and some orthopedics as part of our YSC Kids program.
As a patient of Yellowstone Surgery Center, you can rest assured knowing that you will be treated with dignity and with compassion. Their facility is designed to keep you safe and comfortable before, during and after your procedure. Although emergencies happen infrequently, Yellowstone Surgery Center is able to transfer patients to inpatient care at SCL Health Hospital if individual circumstances require it.
If you are a friend or family member accompanying someone to Yellowstone Surgery Center, we have made every effort to make your experience here a good one as well. We have a comfortable waiting area for your use with a television, reading materials and beverages. We will stay in contact with you to let you know the status of the procedure, and encourage you to come back and wait with the patient during recovery.
Everybody was absolutely amazing when I went here for surgery. I was a nervous wreck before the surgery and they did an amazing job at helping me relax. The pre op nurse was the best.
He took his time to explain everything. He answered our questions. He is polite and has great bedside manners. The rest of the team were just as attentive and charmin. Should ans will go there again if needed.
First time surgery for me, YellowStone staff was amazing!!! Friendly, caring, put me at ease before and after the surgery. It may seem weird to describe it this way, but it was a wonderful experience! I couldn't recommend them more highly.......... Thanks to the staff for all their help today.
