Cosmetic Patients

I scheduled a cosmetic procedure with my physician, what will happen next?

You should receive an estimate of charges from Yellowstone Surgery Center in the mail. If you don’t receive an estimate, please contact Yellowstone Surgery Center at (406) 237-5900.

  I received an estimate in the mail, what does this mean?

You are responsible to pay the estimated cost at least 5 days prior to your procedure. Please contact Yellowstone Surgery Center and Anesthesia Partners of Montana as directed, to make your payments.

Please note that this is an estimated cost, your actual procedure charges can vary.

 Can I make payments on my surgery?

Cosmetic procedures require payment in full prior to the surgery.

  Does Yellowstone Surgery Center offer Financial Assistance?

Cosmetic patients are not eligible to apply for Financial Aid.

  Will Yellowstone Surgery Center bill my insurance for my procedure?

No, as cosmetic procedures are typically not covered by health insurance.

 If my actual surgery price is lower than the estimated price, when will I receive a refund?

You should receive a refund of any overpaid amount within 60 days.

  If my actual procedure price is greater than the estimated price, when will I be required to pay the balance?

  • If you would like to receive the 30% discount, payment in full of the extra charges will be due within 30 days.
  • If you are unable to pay the balance within 30 days, no additional discount will be granted.

Insurance Patients

 How much will I be expected to pay prior to the surgery?

If you have not met your annual deductible with your insurance company, a down payment of $100.00 OR your copayment for out-patient surgery will be expected upon check-in. If you are unsure of your copayment, please contact our Billing Department.

  How long do I have to pay any remaining balance after my insurance pays?

If you have a balance after your insurance pays, the balance will need to be paid off in four to six months with regular monthly payments. It is important to contact our Billing Department should you have difficulty paying your balance off in this amount of time. There are options that may be available to you.

  Is Financing Available? Can I make payments on my surgery?

  • Yes, monthly payments are allowed for up to 6 months (beginning after insurance pays) without interest.
  • If you need additional time to make payments, Yellowstone Surgery Center offers an outside billing service that can take payments for up to 48 months with a 10% compound interest fee.

  Will Yellowstone Surgery Center bill my insurance for my procedure?

  • Yes. Please make sure to provide us with the necessary information to submit to the insurance.
  • If you have a Cost-Sharing Program, Yellowstone Surgery Center will provide you with an itemized bill to submit to the program. Monthly payments will be required until the Cost Sharing program remits payment.
  • You will not receive a bill from Yellowstone Surgery Center until your insurance processed your claim.

  My injury was the result of an accident, will Yellowstone Surgery Center bill my attorney?

  • Yellowstone Surgery Center will bill the accident insurance if you provide us with the necessary information.
  • Yellowstone Surgery Center will not bill an attorney directly.
  • If the accident insurance does not pay within 30 days, the bill will change to the patient’s responsibility.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Yellowstone Surgery Surgery accepts Cash, Checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and Money Orders.

 How do I find my account number?

Your account number can be found on the payment slip portion of the collection letter from Healthcare Facility.

  Will there be additional charges or fees that I may not be expecting?

Payment arrangements are made prior to surgery; however, additional fees may be incurred due to unforeseen circumstances. Each case is different and, if necessary for your health and safety, your physician may order additional supplies or conduct different or additional procedures than those originally scheduled. Although these fees were not included in your original estimate, you will be billed for them.

Does Yellowstone Surgery Center offer Financial Assistance?

  • Yes, Yellowstone Surgery Center offers Financial Assistance to those who qualify. Qualification is based on a case by case basis.
  • Personal financial documentation is required to be provided with your application.
  • If you have applied for financial assistance with SCL Health St. Vincent you will need to complete a separate application for Yellowstone Surgery Center. Yellowstone Surgery Center will take into consideration the award offered by SCL Health St. Vincent but will not guarantee the same award.

  • Yellowstone Surgery Center will not bill an attorney directly.
  • If the accident insurance does not pay within 30 days, the bill will change to the patient’s responsibility.

  What happens if I’m sent to collections?

In the event that your account is referred to an independent collection agency or attorney for collection, you will be responsible for any attorney fees, court costs and collection fees.
